I have heard of this but have never had the privilege to see one, count yourself blessed and keep the camera handy just in case it comes back.
No, I have never seen an albino cardinal, but if you want to see another on, you could look on the internet for areas that might have albino cardinals. You never know!
i never have- but i’d believe it. anything is possible.
no but there are a bunch of websites the have pic just google it
well i consider myself a bird watcher and have never seen one here in florida and we do have cardinals here.
No, but I have heard of white cardinals. It may not be an albino if it had the black mask. It could be leucistic.
Also, cardinals fade to pink in captivity without proper nutrition, the same as flamingoes and scarlet ibises. However, I think the nutrional reasons for fading are different for cardinals (they eat seeds and berries, while flamingoes need diatoms in mud.)
female cardinals are white. males are red.
Yes… Today I saw a white cardinal. It had light pink on the wings and a little on it’s breast. How fantastic. I had to get online and investigate and ran across this site. Happy mothers day to all the chicks out there bird watching…

Today I saw what seemed to be a Cardinal but it had a white breast with sploaches of color. The bird didn’t stay along enough for me to get my camera to document it. (

I noticed a white bird in my yard several times this summer and this morning it perched on my front door wreath. It is definetly a cardinal. Chattanooga, TN
Just spotted one today at our bird feeder. We live just north of Madison, WI.
We have a one that is hanging around our house here in Old Hickory, TN.
I have photos of both regular male and female cardinals that come to my feeder n N GA, but also have some distance shots of a white bird that won’t approach close. This is the 2nd year I have seen it, and the mask is darker this year, but is shy ans I am not sure if it is male or female.

We live in a small town close to Charlestom S.C.
A few days ago I saw an “albino” cardinal in our backyard, in a group of “regular” cardinals. Today it is eating in the front yard with a large group of cardinals.
I have what I think is a female. Basically white with a few grey blotches red beak, highlights on wings and top notch are almost neon red. Never seen anything like it. Beautiful!! NW Arkansas

I live in Madisonville, KY and I have had the privilege of seeing a white cardinal at my husbands grandparents house these last couple days and was so fascinated I had to find out the reason for their strange appearance.
I just saw a white cardinal. It was mostly white with some pink. It was very beautiful. I’m so excited. I got a couple of pictures from a distance. I will try to get more.
Several years ago (I don’t recall how many) during a snow fall we had (what we called) an albino red bird come to our feeder. I got pictures (I didn’t think they were that good) of this bird. I am now in the process of trying to find the picture (my husband toted it around for a while and then we moved so it’s in a box somewhere).
This bird was white it had just a little bit of pinkish red on the tips of its wings and on the cone of its head. The eyes were pink.
